Over the last few years, this lovely Los Gatos patient felt her teeth were aging her. She could not smile because it would show her receding gums along the edges of her crowns. Furthermore, these old crowns have started to appear yellow in color and detract from her smile. She was hesitant at first, but finally decided to whiten her teeth and proceed with replacing eight units of crowns and bridges. She wishes she did this earlier!
This college student from Los Gatos had some yellowing on her front teeth. Even after she had braces and her teeth had been straightened, she still wasn't delighted with her smile. So after consulting with Los Gatos cosmetic dentist, Dr. Lin, she chose first to use our in-office Sinsational Smiles whitening system to brighten her teeth.
Additionally, because her teeth were naturally smaller and oddly shaped, she had veneers placed on them to present a more natural and age-appropriate smile. After the veneers were placed, she was delighted with her new smile and remarked that her new ...
It is not uncommon for some people to be born with smaller and narrower teeth called "peg laterals". In this case, we worked with an orthodontist to align her teeth and position these smaller teeth in the right space. Shortly after completion of orthodontics, she came to see us so we could "build up" her front teeth. Using tooth color filling material, Dr. Lin meticulously hand sculpted and added composite to her existing tooth to create a composite veneer.

This patient, who works in the service industry in Los Gatos and Saratoga, noticed his teeth getting dark and brown. It turns out he had a cavity on one tooth and decay starting underneath an old crown on an adjacent tooth. After removing the decay and fixing it with a tooth-colored filling and a new porcelain ceramic crown in Los Gatos, he felt more confident interacting with customers, more youthful, and energized.
This Los Gatos college student had a visible white spot on her front tooth since childhood, which made her very self-conscious. She tried whitening products without much success. We introduced her to the ICON resin infiltration technique. This technique is very conservative. There are no shots, and no drilling is needed at all! She was very excited about her results!
This Los Gatos High School student had composite veneers done as a child due to a sporting accident that broke her front tooth. Over time her composite veneer chipped and started to stain and discolor. Because she's so young, we recommended redoing her composite veneers to improve the color and match her other teeth. Dr. Lin hand sculpted a new composite veneer and contoured it to recreate her natural tooth shape, size, and whiter shade.
In the future, she may be a good candidate for porcelain veneers which are stronger and less likely to chip or stain, and have a ...
This Los Gatos professional has a job where he has many public speaking engagements. Because he was in the public eye, he resorted to using a temporary tooth during these events. However, he wanted a permanent cosmetic and functional solution to replace his front tooth. He chose to do so with a dental implant. The color of the tooth was carefully chosen to match his existing teeth so that he could regain his smile and confidence when giving public presentations.

This high school student was born with smaller and narrower teeth. He also chipped his front teeth when playing sports. After orthodontics was completed at James Lin DMD, there were still some gaps between his front teeth. Due to his young age, we recommended tooth bonding in Los Gatos to cosmetically build up the teeth and provide a functional result. The patient's parents were very happy with how we were able to make his front teeth look more natural in size.
This patient complained of sensitivity to sweets and cold drinks along her gums. Turns out that a significant amount of enamel had broken down along the gum line. Combined with gum recession, her tooth's root surface was exposed, causing the sensitivity. Our Los Gatos dentist bonded a tooth-colored filling on her tooth and polished it in order to blend with the natural tooth. Not only did this bonding protect the tooth from sensitivity, so she could enjoy her favorite foods again, but it also improved the cosmetic appearance!
Upon visual examination and consulting the x-rays, it was evident that this patient had some cracked silver fillings and cavities underneath them. These silver fillings were placed when she was a young teenager.
She requested to have her cavities fixed with tooth-colored fillings. She said that whenever she laughed, she would cover her mouth because she was afraid people could see the silver fillings on her bottom teeth.
After removing the broken silver fillings and cleaning out the cavities underneath, new tooth-colored fillings in Los Gatos were placed and polished to give this patient a healthier appearance.
Combined with gum recession, an older dental implant crown trapped food underneath the gums. As such, the dental implant always looked dirty and unclean. Los Gatos dentist, Dr. Lin, removed the old crown from the dental implant, custom-designed a new one, and correctly positioned it along her gums to create a better seal.
Improve Function With Dental Implants
This prevented food from getting caught between her gums and the dental implant and gave her an improved cosmetic outcome.
This Los Gatos professional had a large filling that wedged itself into her tooth and caused a visible crack. Also visible was an old bonding along the root that had discolored and started to chip. A ceramic crown in Los Gatos was recommended to protect this compromised tooth before further damage could happen. Especially because this is a molar where most of the chewing takes place, it was important to strengthen this already compromised tooth.
Our Los Gatos dental office uses the Sinsational Smiles whitening system. Patients like it because it only takes 20 minutes and they experience no sensitivity (compared to other major brands).
Most patients like to pair a whitening session with their cleaning appointments, so they leave our office with clean teeth and a brighter smile! Fun facts: Sinsational Smiles whitening is made in the USA, organic, BPA-free, eco-friendly, and green-certified.
This young lady from Los Gatos was born with missing front teeth. For most of her life, she had temporary teeth to take in and out; however, it was not a permanent solution.
After she matured and stopped growing, she underwent orthodontics to straighten her teeth. Then, we placed dental implants in Los Gatos to fill in the space permanently. She is excited to have new teeth to eat, talk, and smile with, and she no longer has to deal with temporary teeth!
This working professional from Saratoga chipped a front tooth. He called in seeking emergency care in our Los Gatos dental office, which was close to his work office.
We were able to get him in promptly for a dental emergency exam and provide same-day dental treatment. We selected a tooth-colored filling material that matched the color of his teeth and then bonded the filling in place, shaped it, and polished it so that it was unnoticeable and blended with his tooth seamlessly.
Our patient appreciated the prompt dental care and was happy that he could conveniently return to work.
This retired gentleman from Monte Sereno was concerned about trapping food in his molar. It turns out he had an old broken filling with a cavity.
After removing the cavity, we repaired his broken tooth with a tooth-colored filling in Los Gatos. He was happy we figured out the problem and prevented his broken tooth from further damage so he could eat again without food getting caught between his teeth.
This patient arrived at James Lin DMD and thought she had a broken tooth. In fact, it was a broken dental crown.
Quick Replacement of a Broken Dental Crown in Los Gatos
Initially, the tooth was treated with a root canal and the dental crown in Los Gatos was made after to protect the tooth. The old crown was removed and a new ceramic crown was customized to protect her tooth.
This patient from Campbell had not seen a dentist regularly. Then, one night he chipped his front tooth and saw us for an emergency exam.
After asking some questions, the patient shared with Dr. Lin that he clenches his teeth at night and that when he wakes up he has sore jaw muscles. After choosing a tooth-colored filling to match his natural tooth, Dr. Lin proceeded to fix the chip with dental bonding and blended the tooth-colored filling.
