Dr. James Lin, DMD
Dentist
Dr. James Lin was born and raised in Cupertino. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh. While in dental school, Dr. Lin was awarded the prestigious Albert Schweitzer Fellowship to provide preventative oral health care to children with cortical visual impairment.
After dental school, he completed a general practice residency at the VA Hospital, Mott Children’s Hospital, and the University of Michigan Hospital. In these capacities, he pursued advanced training in implantology, endodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry. Dr. Lin has since served his patients in the Bay Area for several years.
Dr. Lin implements high-quality dental treatments while being attentive to your comfort, addressing your concerns, and explaining your options. Dr. Lin is also a big proponent of patient education, relying on solid communication skills to ensure you are informed and involved in treatment decisions. Dr. Lin takes great pride in creating a pleasant dental experience for his patients. In fact, many patients have shared that they appreciate his calm personality and his excellent staff.
As an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry and Santa Clara Dental Society, Dr. Lin enjoys the challenge of continuous learning to stay at the forefront of dentistry.
Outside of the office, Dr. Lin enjoys traveling, hiking, playing ultimate frisbee, and trying new eateries. He is also an avid Golden State Warriors fan!
Dr. James Lin is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. What does this mean for you and your family?
Earning a fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry is a testament to Dr. Lin's commitment to bringing the best that dentistry has to offer to his patients. A fellowship requires dedication to investing numerous hours in continuing education (CE) beyond graduation from dental school. Only approximately 6 percent of dentists in the United States and Canada are AGD fellows. Dr. Lin is part of an elite group of professionals dedicated to mastering advanced techniques and the best practices in dentistry.
To become an AGD Fellow, a dentist must:

Complete over 500 credit hours of continuing education.

Earn 350 of those 500 credits in live courses.

Pass an exam equal in difficulty to board certification exams.

Patti
Registered Dental Assistant
Patti attended Sacramento City College and received her registered dental assistant certification in 1986. She has over twenty years of chairside experience. Taking several years away from dentistry to dedicate herself to the joyful position of full-time mom, she returned to the dental field in 2012.
Patti is passionate about contributing to a positive dental experience for all patients. One of the things she finds most fulfilling about working with Dr. Lin is building patient rapport and sharing her friendly demeanor.
Outside of her time in the dental world, Patti enjoys family time, reading, and live music. She also loves spending time with her crazy chocolate lab, “Shasta.”
Alicia
Patient Care Coordinator
Alicia was born in San Francisco and raised on the peninsula. She graduated from the College of San Mateo Dental Assisting program in 2004 and also received her Registered Dental Assisting License from the State of California in 2004. She has spent most of her career as a back-office assistant helping the dentist chairside for many different procedures until recently switching to front office as a receptionist at Dr James Lin’s. Alicia enjoys developing relationships with patients and their families. She is a big advocate for dental health and loves keeping up with the ever-changing dental world.
Alicia is a dedicated wife and proud mom of two young boys who keep her very busy. She enjoys cooking and baking, reading and spending time with her family.
Breana
Business Coordinator
Breana received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Visual Development from Academy of Art University in 2023. She has over twelve years of office management and customer service experience.
Believing our patients should always be our number one priority, she works hard with our team to create a positive and memorable experience for all our patients.
Breana prides herself on building long lasting relationships with our patients, and always strives to exceed patient’s expectations through excellent service.
Alexa
Patient Support Specialist
Alexa was born and raised in San Jose, CA. She is currently going to college to pursue her dream career as a dental hygienist. She is also looking forward to accomplishing a short-term goal that she has set for herself, becoming a Dental Assistant.
Alexa grew a strong passion for dentistry right after high school. She knew that being in the dental field was her passion. Having the privilege to form bonds with patients and soon being able to help patients with their oral hygiene is something that Alexndra takes lots of pride in.
Outside of work Alexa enjoys spending time with her family. She is a mom to a sweet little baby boy who she loves to spend time with. Spending quality time with her baby and partner means the world to her and is something she absolutely cherishes.
