Dental insurance is a benefit plan that you use, similar to a gift card. Unfortunately, most dental benefit plans only cover up to $1500 per year (“annual maximum”). After you reach $1500 in dental services, your dental insurance stops paying, and you are responsible for the remaining balance. The average annual maximum of $1500 has not changed much in forty years.
However, the annual premiums are increasing each year, and dental benefits plans are becoming more restrictive in what services they cover. We recognize that everyone has a different financial situation. Thusly, we work hard to find a solution that allows you to obtain the dental care that you and your family deserve.
It can be confusing and time-consuming for patients to understand their dental insurance limitations and restrictions. As a courtesy, our office is happy to contact your insurance plan on your behalf to get an estimate of how much your insurance plan will pay for your care. We then collect only your patient copay portion at your dental visit.
