What are possible oral cancer signs?

Oral Cancer Screenings

As with any cancer, oral cancer can be treated if diagnosed in its earliest stages. Signs that may point to this condition include:

  • A reddish-white mouth lesion that persists for more than two weeks
  • Soreness in the back of your throat and pain when swallowing
  • Lumps in your mouth that seem to grow and change in size and color
  • Issues with swallowing, chewing, or tongue movement.

As part of every exam, Dr. Lin or one of our hygienists will perform a screening for these tell-tale signs of oral cancer.
