Dr. James Lin grew up in nearby Cupertino and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. During his time in dental school, Dr Lin was an Albert Schweitzer Fellow and developed a program to improve the oral health habits of children with cortical visual impairment. He completed his residency at the VA Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he also served patients at the University of Michigan Hospital System and Mott Children's Hospital.
Dr Lin began his lifelong journey of education by taking additional courses and extensive training that changed the direction, purpose, and focus of his dental pursuits. By taking the comprehensive curriculum at Clinical Mastery Series and training under one of the top cosmetic dentists in the nation in Aspen, Colorado, he has refined his skillset and knowledge on a variety of topics. His pursuit of continuing education paved the way for Dr Lin to achieve a prestigious Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry in which only 6% of dentists in the US and Canada hold this distinction.
He believes exceptional dentistry begins with listening. Every treatment plan is thoughtfully designed around each patient’s individual goals, concerns, and long-term oral health, ensuring recommendations are both personalized and transparent. He has brought on a team who embraces this philosophy and enjoys providing excellent customer service.
Outside the office, Dr. Lin has been practicing archery. He enjoys the sport because it plays to his strengths--his eye for high accuracy and precision that is guided by his calmness and steady hands.
At home, he enjoys spending time with his family and learning to be a better cook to live a life of health and wellness.
Dr. James Lin grew up in Cupertino where his parents immigrated to from Taiwan to pursue higher education and a career in the Silicon Valley tech sector. As such, he is also able to speak Mandarin Chinese.
